Portability and Registration
* Added: when running the program from a USB drive on a non-registered computer, the program still shows the registration screen, but now the registration screen is pre-loaded with your registration number (from the text file "cabreg.txt" which is created after entering your registration number once). In other words, when running the program from USB drive on an unregistered computer you will no longer have to (1) open a file containing the registration number in a separate program, (2) select it, and (3) copy/paste it into the registration screen. All that is now done automatically.

Portability and Settings
* Added: it is now possible to store settings in an .ini file (the file 'cab.ini' in the addressbook program directory) or in the Windows registry (default). See the tab 'General' in the settings screen.
* Added: when Custom Addressbook detects that an ini file is present it will ignore the registry and load/store settings exclusively from/to the ini file. And when no ini file is present, Addressbook will access the registry instead.

Main window
* Added: the full path to open file now shows in statusbar.
* Added: a button to the toolbar to check for updates.

Themes
* Improved: the 'Aqua' theme now shows more clearly which category is selected (the selected category has been made to appear darker).

Registration

User-interface

    - Use the Windows telephony device or use a VOIP program (such as Skype).
This last option is effective for fields of type 'phone'.
* Added: for attributes one can now define a print separator. The options are: line break (default), comma, dash, semi-colon, slash or space. Please note that this is only effective when printing in 'rows and colums'.

Search
* Bugfix: "search" now also returns items which do not belong to any category (i.e. only the categories 'all data' and/or 'search results').

* Added: print to multiple colums and rows (optional, useful when printing address labels).
* Added: one can now specify how many rows rows and columns will be printed on each page (optional).
* Added: one can now specify the distance between rows and colums (optional, in inches or mm).
* Moved: the 'units' combobox is moved to the tab 'misc' in the print screen.
* Moved: the 'print attribute names' and 'print empty attributes' checkboxes are moved to the 'page layout' tab in the print screen.

* Added: new print and print-preview screen, which can be opened using menu/file/print. This new print screen has a large number of features, including:
  - full print-preview capabilities. Any change you make to the print screen can be viewed without printing (just click on the 'preview' button).
  - one can specify a multitute of paper sizes (also: postcards and envelopes) for printing as well as for print-preview.
  - an option to select all address items in the current category, or some address items for printing
  - an option to print or omit empty attributes (e.g. you can choose not to print 'company' for an item which has that field empty)
  - an option to print or not to print the attribute names
  - one can specify the top margin of the printed text, the left margin, the bottom margin and the width of the attribute-names column
  - units can be shown in Inches and millimeters.
  - one can print each item on a separate page, which can be useful when printing envelopes or postcards.
* Changed: the previous print options can no longer be found in the settings screen, but have moved the new print screen

* Added: new display tab in options screen to change display characteristics of the main screen
* Added: one can now change the font size, color and name of the attributes in the main screen through the display tab in the options screen.

* You can change the amount of attributes which make up an item caption. E.g. if you choose '2 attributes', only the first two attributes will be part of the caption. The caption of an item, by default is the value of the first attribute in the right pane, usually the name of the person. In the settings screen, tab 'general' you can specify how many attributes are part of the caption of an item. The default value is '1', leading to a caption of e.g. 'Bill Gates' (only the name attribute). However, if you choose '2', then the caption of the item will comprise of the first two attributes, e.g. 'Bill Gates, Microsoft' (the name of the person, and the name of the company). The maximum amount of attributes being part of an item caption is 4, the minimum amount is 1. Custom Addressbook will adjust the caption automatically if you leave one or more attribute fields blank.
* Changed: the keyboard shortcut for 'copy selected items to clipboard' is now ctrl-shift-c (instead of ctrl-c) because of interference with the standard ctrl-c shortcut (see the next point).
* Added: ctrl-c copies the selected text inside an attribute box to the clipboard
* Added: range select. When you select an item in the list (in the left part of the window) with the mouse, and after that select another item while holding down the ctrl and shift keys, all the items positioned between those two will be selected as well.

* Added: data encryption. If you enable the password option, the address.dat file is automatically encrypted. If you disable the password option, the data file is plain non-encrypted ascii text. The password is encrypted within the already encrypted data file. This makes the password itself encrypted twice.
* Added: program registration. The 1.1 version (available for download) is freeware. The 1.5 version (or later) is shareware.
